Parc is a tasteful development a few kilometers east of
Fornells, and boasts the islands only golf course. Situated among pine
clad hills, there is plenty to offer the visitor.
The only golf course on the island -- fourteen holes but about to be extended
to 18 -- is a few minutes drive away from one of the finest beaches,
surrounded by dunes down which the locals toboggan during the winter.
As well as golf, there
are tennis courts and a driving range.
A small commercial area is home to
a few bars, restaurants and shops, and backed by sand dunes, a beautiful
beach of silver sand. The beach is very long and is shallow for what seems like 50 metres.
Water sports of all kinds are available: windsurfing, jet skis, ski-bobs
plus the more sedate kayaks and pedaloes. There are beach restaurants at
each end.
Despite all these attractions the beach seldom becomes seriously
crowded, partly because of its size but also because of the nature of the
resort, spread out with hundreds of villas and apartment blocks but no
large hotels.
