Weather:

Menorca has a truly Mediterranean climate, and averages 315 days of sunshine a year. The average summer high temperature is around 30º, although this often rises in the middle of August. The humidity is usually about 70-77% even in the winter. The winter is mild and often sunny, but the high humidity and strong winds that come down through France can make it feel rather cold and damp.

The "season" is from 1st May to 31st of October, and normally the summer is hot and dry. The wettest months are from October to March.

The island is sometime called the "windy isle" as there are no less than eight distinct winds each given a different name by the locals. Of these the north wind or tramontana is the most prevalent, blowing some 150 days a year, and always brings with it changeable weather.

CHEMISTS

These are called Farmacias. They are closed at weekends but there is always one that remains open in each town. To find out which one is on duty, see the rota on any chemists door. Most resorts  also have chemists open during the tourist season. The pharmacists are usually very helpful, and can sometimes even recommend products that are only available on prescription in Britain.
